Job summary

CEENTA is seeking a friendly and detail-driven Patient Representative (Front Desk) to support busy clinics across North Carolina. You will guide patients through check-in/check-out, verify demographics and insurance in the EHR, and help manage scheduling and payments to keep clinic operations running smoothly.

The role requires strong communication, 3+ years in a patient-facing setting, and proficiency with EMR and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in customer service or a patient-facing medical office role is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills—professional, clear, and courteous.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and standard office equipment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients; ensure efficient, courteous patient flow.
• Verify and enter patient demographics and insurance information in the EHR.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
• Operate a multi-line phone system; monitor and return messages promptly.
• Process check-out, collect co-pays and balances, explain statements and payment plans.
• Assist patients with kiosk usage and resolve appointment report errors.
• Maintain work queues and index documents in the EHR.
• Keep lobby and patient areas clean and organized.
• Support clinical teams with messaging, scanning, and mail distribution.
