The Specialty Alliance is seeking a Medical Scheduler based in Austin, Texas to assist in scheduling patient visits and procedures, along with managing a busy office environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of prior medical scheduling is preferred.
• Entry level (1–4 years experience) and/or meet basic requirements of the job.
• Strong sense of ethics and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for office visits and procedure appointments.
• Assist with high call volume.
• Maintain physicians' schedules for office visits and procedures.
• Take triage call messages for medical staff.
• View patient visit notes and identify problems.
• Assist in patient registration and financial transactions.
• Prepare patient charts and scan documents into EMR.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Experience working in a medical office

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Detail-oriented

Basic understanding of healthcare plans

Read and understand medical benefits

Bilingual is a plus
