University Health is seeking a BH Registration & Scheduling Specialist in Lakewood to support behavioral health services at Lakewood Counseling Service and UH Behavioral Health in Lees Summit, MO. This full-time role (40 hours/week) runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, coordinating patient appointments and handling demographic and financial data across hospital systems.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, clerical and patient-facing experience, and solid communication and keyboarding skills;

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in clerical, patient contact, hospital business office or insurance.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Patient Access & Scheduling Representative.
• Concise written communication and keyboarding skills required.

Aufgaben

• Interview patients to obtain demographic and financial data.
• Schedule patient appointments via the electronic scheduling system.
• Gather financial and insurance information and coordinate referrals to resources.
• Obtain pre-certification/authorization for services and collect co-pays; complete admission/registration paperwork.
