Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or GED required
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1–2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience in healthcare required
• 3–5 years of customer service experience required
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required
• Insurance verification experience required

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register and verify insurance for outpatient and inpatient services by collecting proper demographic information and securing authorizations for procedures.
• Act as the primary liaison for patients receiving professional and hospital services at ECU Health.
• Contribute to accurate and timely patient access processes to ensure smooth care delivery.
