Fairview Range is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator I to join the Hibbing, MN care team. The role includes registering and scheduling patients, answering phones, and data entry into the EMR with strong customer service.

The position may require coverage at Nashwauk and Mountain Iron, with shifts of 8 hours, and potential opening/closing responsibilities. Benefits are offered with a comprehensive plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with computers, typing, and telephone duties.
• Preferred: knowledge of medical terminology.
• Preferred: experience with registration and scheduling, insurance verification, and understanding health plans.

Responsabilités

• Perform Registration and Scheduling Specialist duties.
• Answer the phone in a courteous, efficient manner within an established time frame.
• Collect and verify patient data and enter into the EMR accurately.
• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments according to approved flow.
• Open/close the facility or float to another site as needed.
• Assist care team to ensure an excellent patient experience.
• Process payments and assist with balances and billing questions.
• Handle complaints and document in the complaints database.
