Job summary

Variety Care is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to schedule appointments, assist patients in accessing Variety Care services across clinics, and provide outstanding customer service. The role requires handling telephone inquiries, coordinating telehealth or in-person visits, and ensuring accurate documentation within EPIC (EMR) systems.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication and listening skills, and experience handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Computer experience with data entry and business applications.
• Direct experience working with the public in customer service role in retail or phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and telephone etiquette while scheduling patient needs.
• Demonstrate active listening and deliver personalized, attentive service.
• Serve as first point of contact for the VC health center with a professional demeanor.
• Aim to meet or exceed individual Patient Access performance metrics.
• Proficient in EPIC (EMR) scheduling and Patient Access workflows for proper documentation.
