Job summary

Variety Care Inc is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to support the Administration department. The role handles phones, appointment scheduling, patient data entry, and cash collections at checkout, while updating electronic medical records and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong clerical skills, and the ability to work calmly in a busy, patient-focused environment. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to enter simple data and basic keyboarding skills.
• Ability to work with the public and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones and schedules appointments.
• Obtains and updates patient information in the electronic medical records.
• Posts charges and payments at check-out and collects balances.
• Verifies late or open balances and calls billing for questions.
• Provides back-up coverage for Front Office Telephone Operators.
• Maintains a clean and orderly waiting area and follows HIPAA guidelines.
