Job summary

National-Spine-and-Pain-Center is seeking a Communication Center Representative to serve as front-line support in a busy multi-site practice in Glen Burnie, MD. You will schedule appointments, collect patient demographics and insurance data, and relay patient messages to the appropriate provider.

Under the Communication Center Supervisor, you will ensure quality service, uphold HIPAA privacy, and follow NSPC policies while interacting with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least one year of related healthcare call center experience.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC-based office tools such as Outlook and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route all incoming calls; ensure timely follow-ups.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments per NSPC guidelines.
• Collect and record patient demographics and insurance information.
• Relay patient messages to appropriate provider offices.
• Ensure compliance with NSPC policies, HIPAA, and OSHA rules.
• Process prescription requests promptly to providers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
