Under supervision, you will greet patients, collect demographic data, assist with insurance verification, and perform routine clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and practice.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and clinic systems.
• Skill in operating a personal computer and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling, reception, records maintenance, and coordination with other hospital clinics.
• Register patients and collect demographic and insurance data during appointments.
• Greet and assist patients; answer calls; schedule and confirm appointments.
• Coordinate patient visits, travel, housing, transfers, and admissions paperwork.
• Maintain patient charts and enter orders/data for billing.
• Order charts, labs, and medical supplies; assist nurses with care.
• Perform clerical duties: mail, faxing, copying, scanning; prepare reports.
• Maintain payroll and timekeeping for the department.
