Job summary

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is a non-profit Tribal health organization serving Alaska Native and American Indian people. This Assistant Case Manager role supports Case Managers with scheduling, reception, records maintenance, and coordination with hospital clinics and other tribal health organizations.

Under supervision, you will assist with patient referrals, insurance verification, and clerical duties, ensuring accurate charts and timely follow-up.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service concepts and practice.
• Knowledge of multi-line telephone systems operation.
• Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and clinic systems.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of department leadership.
• Assist in patient care coordination and scheduling.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up after provider visits.
• Assist nursing staff with admissions, orders, and forms.
• Maintain accurate medical records and scheduling data.
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate care.
• Schedule tests and travel/lodging arrangements for patients.
