Job summary

Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) is seeking a registrar to manage admitting, transferring, registering and discharging patients at ANMC. The role includes financial counseling, preregistration, and ensuring complete patient records in electronic systems.

You will coordinate with insurance carriers, third-party payers, and tribal agencies to support patients' financial health care needs and obligations, while maintaining privacy and accuracy in all records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service, registration processing, medical office or computer database experience.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and practice.
• Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Admitting, transferring, registering and discharging functions for admitted or registered patients.
• Perform financial counseling and pre-registration for scheduled or same-day visits.
• Ensure patient records are complete and accurate in electronic databases.
• Communicate with patients, insurers, and agencies to address financial health care needs.
• Input and update patient records in demographics, insurance, and clinical information.
