Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Schegistrar CAC to manage scheduling, gather patient and insurance information, and enter data into the health information system. The role supports patients and providers by answering questions and triaging requests for visits and services.

You will work in a day shift, handle registration calls, confirm insurance benefits, provide price estimates, and maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, listening, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Epic or similar EMR systems.
• Ability to handle cash and balance cash drawer as needed.

Responsabilités

• Schedule services for departments within the sphere of responsibility.
• Register patients by collecting demographics, guarantor, and insurance info in a single call.
• Enter patient data into the registration system and verify insurance benefits.
• Provide price estimates and triage questions regarding out-of-pocket costs.
• Respond to appointment rescheduling or cancellation requests and maintain accuracy.
