Job summary

Baptist Health in Boca Raton is seeking a Patient Access Scheduler for centralized scheduling. This full-time role involves coordinating diagnostic, surgical, therapy, and physician visits, while collecting demographics and insurance details in a fast-paced call center setting.

Bilingual English/Spanish/Creole preferred; EMR and HIPAA knowledge is a plus. The incumbent will enter data into the scheduling system and strive to meet quality metrics while delivering compassionate service to patients

Qualifications

Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology.
Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure.

Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments (diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures).
Obtain and verify necessary demographic and insurance information.
Register patients and enter data into scheduling system.
Work in a call center type environment and meet individual quality metrics.
