Baptist Health in Boca Raton is seeking a Patient Access Scheduler for centralized scheduling. This full-time role involves coordinating diagnostic, surgical, therapy, and physician visits, while collecting demographics and insurance details in a fast-paced call center setting.

Bilingual English/Spanish/Creole preferred; EMR and HIPAA knowledge is a plus. The incumbent will enter data into the scheduling system and strive to meet quality metrics while delivering compassionate service to patients

Qualifications

• Complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Detail oriented, organized, team player, compassionate, excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terminology.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage structure.

The incumbent will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments (diagnostic, surgical, therapy, physician office visits, and other procedures/treatments). Obtains and verifies necessary demographic and insurance information. Registers patients and enters data into scheduling system. This position requires the incumbent to be in a call center type environment and responsible for meeting individual quality metrics. Practices the Baptist Health philosophy of service excellence in providing professional, compassionate and friendly service to patients of all ages, families, employees, physicians and community members. Estimated pay range for this position is $17.62 - $22.38 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.
