Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of relevant patient access experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance verification and pre-authorizations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees registration, verifications, pre-authorizations and referrals.
• Develops systems to ensure accurate registrations and timely processing.
• Monitors KPIs for Patient Access and reports findings to management.
• Facilitates communication between departments and front-end operations.
• Plans staff coverage based on service demand and volume.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, payer requirements, and UMC policies.
• Trains and coaches staff on processes and service standards.
• Maintains positive patient impressions and ensures excellent customer service.
