Southcoast Health is seeking a Senior Patient Access Representative for the Women and Children location in New Bedford, MA. This full-time day-shift role includes checking in/out patients, pre-registration, scheduling, and triage calls under supervision.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of office experience, strong computer and typing skills, and excellent customer service. Vaccination against influenza and COVID-19 is required or an approved exemption.

Qualificações

• High school diploma required.
• Good computer and typing skills are required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment is required.
• Three years of office experience are required.
• One year medical office practice experience or post secondary coursework is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or exempt with signed statement.

Responsabilidades

• Review charges and coding under supervision.
• May act as back-up to Practice Coordinator/Manager as needed.
• Check-in and check-out patients at assigned practice(s).
• Perform pre-registration functions including scheduling patient visits, tests and procedures.
• Greet patients, answer and triage telephone calls.
• Perform various clerical and administrative functions as needed.
• May cover different offices as needed or directed.
• May mentor Patient Access Representatives or Patient Access Assistants.

We are searching for a talented Patient Access Representative Sr.

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 7:15am - 3:45pm

Location: Women and Children - New Bedford, MA

**Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

May greet patients, answer and triage telephone calls. Perform various clerical and administrative functions as needed. May cover different offices as needed or directed. May mentor Patient Access Representatives * SPG or Patient Access Assistants * SPG. May assign work as needed.

• One year medical office practice experience or post secondary course work is preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
