Qualifications

• Completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel is preferred.
• Three years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
• CHAM or CHAA preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus.

We are searching for a talented Patient Access Intake Representative.

Hours: 24hrs

Shift: Day/Evening shift, 10:30am - 7:00pm / 3:00pm - 11:30pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA

Responsibilities

Under general direction of the Manager, Patient Access and supervision of the Team Leader, Patient Access or designee, perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access throughout the organization. Insure patient compliance with applicable hospital policy and obtain accurate patient information to insure patient safety and optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Determine and actively collect patient liabilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of four years of high school plus additional courses or training required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology Certificate required.
• Demonstrated communication & interpersonal skills are required.
• Strong computer skills including medical based programs required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other software programs is preferred.
• Three (3) years related health care experience including working with third party payers is required.
• CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Manager) or CHAA (Certified Healthcare Access Associate) preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $18.40 - USD $28.65 /Hr.
