Trinity Health is seeking a part-time patient registration specialist for evening shifts in Michigan. The role involves outpatient and inpatient registration, insurance verification, and collecting patient payments. Must have strong communication, data entry, and a HS diploma.

Provide patient focused customer service. Perform outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions; Collect patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals. Provide general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices
1 year customer service experience, required HS Diploma or equivalent required Data entry skills (50 to 60 keystrokes per minute) Basic computer skills HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA required within one (1) year of hire. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers. Accuracy and attentiveness to detail and time management skills.
Nice to have: Medical terminology Knowledge of diagnostic & procedural coding Insurance verification with the ability to explain benefits, secure necessary authorizations
