Job summary

NorthShore University HealthSystem is seeking a Patient Access Representative II in Glenview, IL. This full-time role processes patient registrations, schedules appointments, and verifies insurance coverage to optimize the patient experience.

Responsibilities include guiding patients to access services per policy, identifying payment sources, assisting with collections and financial counseling, and maintaining accurate EMRs in line with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• One-year customer service experience in a healthcare or health insurance related field required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance industry terminology preferred.

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full-Time (36 hours)
• Hours: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm and 9:00am-5:30pm
• Required Travel: no

Job Summary: The Patient Access Representative II is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing patient registrations, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage. This role plays a critical part in optimizing the patient experience and supporting the hospital's commitment to high-quality healthcare services.
