Job summary

Cleveland Clinic in Stow, OH seeks a Patient Access Representative to welcome patients and gather demographics, insurance and payment information, while ensuring accurate registration and cash handling. You will cross-train across front desk, admitting, ED and cash register areas and serve as a Super User to train new staff.

Two weeks of EPIC training, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., onsite at Stow Health and Wellness, are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience in a customer-facing role.
• OR Associate’s Degree and one year of experience.
• OR Bachelor’s Degree.
• Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders OR completion of course within one year.
• Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Crosstrain to staff all areas of patient access, such as front desk, admitting office, ED and cash register.
• Function as a Super User and act as a resource for training of new caregivers.

You will support patients with registration, information gathering, insurance verification and payment collection, while helping ensure each interaction reflects Cleveland Clinic’s commitment to outstanding service. EPIC Training Requirement

Your first two weeks will include mandatory EPIC training, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., held onsite at Stow Health and Wellness. Attendance is required for the full duration of the training. Following successful completion of training, you will transition to your assigned schedule and shift. To be considered for this position, you must acknowledge that you are available to attend all days of the required two-week training.

A caregiver in this position works evenings, 3:00pm—11:00pm. Every other weekend and holiday.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
• Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

Personal Protective Equipment

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $15.75

Maximum hourly: $21.65
