Job Summary:

Responsible for communicating with patients, participants, and staff to schedule patients for procedures and gather necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather information from patients and enter into appropriate database. Resolve issues about procedure details.
  • Schedule patient procedures efficiently, coordinating and communicating schedules.
  • Assist with insurance pre-certification/authorization activities.
  • Provide counseling to patients or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements.
  • Perform clerical and reception duties related to patient registration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
Experience:
  • No experience required.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements.
  • Use of vision and depth perception for near and far distances, color identification.
  • Use of hearing and speech for communication, alert to alarms and machinery.
  • Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
  • Rare climbing.
