Job summary

Ascension is hiring at Via Christi Clinics in Wichita, KS for a Float Staffing role focused on patient access and front desk coordination. The position involves scheduling procedures, validating demographics, and ensuring complete patient records in the EMR system.

You will verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, and educate patients on financial responsibilities, enabling smooth visits and accurate billing across multiple clinic locations.

Qualifications

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Schedule patient appointments and procedures accurately with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient flow and resource utilization.


• Gather and accurately enter patient demographic, insurance, and clinical information into the appropriate database to establish a complete and compliant patient record.


• Coordinate insurance verification and pre-authorization processes to ensure financial clearance and reduce out-of-pocket stress for the patient.


• Educate patients on pre-service requirements, instructions, and financial responsibilities, promoting a clear and comfortable experience.

Education

What minimum requirements you’ll need

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Prior medical office experience preferred.


• Ability to travel between AMG clinic locations in Wichita for float coverage.


• Flexibility to work variable clinic hours depending on assigned location.
