Addison Group is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support patient intake and registration onsite in Chattanooga, TN. The role requires excellent customer service while verifying insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate demographics and scheduling within HIPAA-compliant processes.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of customer service or administrative experience, a high school diploma or GED, and experience with insurance verification or prior authorization.

Qualificações

• Insurance verification and/or prior authorization experience required
• Associate degree or healthcare certification preferred

Responsabilidades

• Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances
• Explain financial responsibilities and payment options to patients
• Obtain required consent and privacy documentation
• Coordinate with providers, nurses, and insurance companies to support patient care
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner

Job Description

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for supporting the patient intake and registration process within a healthcare organization. This role serves as a primary point of contact for patients and helps ensure accurate scheduling, insurance verification, registration, and financial clearance while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
