• High school diploma preferred or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
• Strong customer service skills with a warm, professional approach to working with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately collect, verify, and enter sensitive patient, insurance, and financial information.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally, both in person and by phone.
• Critical thinking and sound judgment with the ability to make decisions, resolve routine issues, and know when to seek additional assistance.
• Comfort discussing financial responsibilities with patients in a respectful, clear, and compassionate manner.
• Technology skills and adaptability with the ability to learn multiple software systems quickly, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
