How you'll contribute

As a Patient Access Representative, you will excel in this role by:

• Creating a welcoming first impression by providing compassionate, professional, and respectful service to patients and families.
• Accurately collecting and entering patient information including demographic, insurance, billing, and financial information.
• Navigating insurance and authorization requirements by verifying benefits, obtaining necessary authorizations, and helping ensure a smooth registration process.
• Communicating with confidence and clarity by explaining forms, processes, financial responsibilities, and next steps to patients and families.
• Protecting patient privacy and confidentiality while handling sensitive health, insurance, and financial information with care.
• Thriving in a fast-paced environment by managing multiple priorities, learning new systems quickly, and adapting to changing patient and department needs.

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately collect, verify, and enter sensitive patient, insurance, and financial information.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally, both in person and by phone.
• Critical thinking and sound judgment with the ability to make decisions, resolve routine issues, and know when to seek additional assistance.
• Comfort discussing financial responsibilities with patients in a respectful, clear, and compassionate manner.
• Technology skills and adaptability with the ability to learn multiple software systems quickly, manage competing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
