Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the SICU to join our dedicated team and provide high-quality patient care during night shifts. This 300-bed facility values compassionate, evidence-based practice and supports ongoing professional growth.

Applicants must hold a current state RN license and have an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing. BLS within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within six months, and ASLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Associates or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire
• One year of experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through our 1 year residency program
• ASLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
