Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a full-time Access Service Rep to provide exceptional patient and visitor service at registration points in Brooklyn and surrounding Radiology areas.

The role includes interviewing patients for data, inputting into ADT/EHR systems, performing pre-registration and insurance verification, and maintaining smooth workflows in registration areas with strong attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year registrar-related experience.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Standing, walking, sitting, push/pull 10+ lbs., reaching, talking, hearing.

Responsibilities

• Set the stage for the patient experience by delivering exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a smooth workflow within department registration areas.
• Interview patients or representatives for financial and demographic data; input into ADT/EHR systems.
• Perform pre-registration and registration tasks including insurance verification and authorization.
• Coverage in Radiology and other locations as needed.
