Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Willing to cross-train to other areas.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in hospital and offsite locations.
• Answer patient questions about procedures and charges.
• Obtain demographic and insurance information.
• Explain billing policies and collect payments as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Process pre-registrations and appointment scheduling.
• Communicate with physicians and nursing staff as required.
