Job summary

On-site, with rotating shifts, the position demands strong customer service and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in healthcare registration or related customer service, solid data-entry skills, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Experience: 1–2 years of registration, scheduling, or customer service in healthcare preferred.
• Knowledge: health insurances, medical terminology and anatomy preferred.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient registration functions courteously and professionally.
• Greets and registers patients.
• Collects data for pre-registration and registration and records it accurately.
• Uses on-line physician ordering systems and enters codes.
• Contacts physicians or staff for additional information.
• Explains and secures signatures; completes MSP questionnaire when applicable.
• Audits and processes insurance documents and patient charts.
• Maintains HIPAA and regulatory compliance; protects patient information.
