Job summary

Tryon Med is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to support patient intake, scheduling, registration, and payment processing across multiple locations. The role requires greeting patients professionally, educating on the patient portal, and ensuring accurate documentation in athenaNet.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with location flexibility to cover all Tryon offices as needed; prior EHR/scheduling experience is preferred and customer service excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of medical office or healthcare facility experience.
• Experience with E.H.R. and scheduling.
• Experience serving customers in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments in athenaNet.
• Greet patients and visitors professionally.
• Complete registration and educate patients on portal usage.
• Collect co-payments, balances, and payment plans.
• Balance and close batches daily.
• Answer inbound and outbound calls and schedule follow-ups.
• Work at different Tryon office locations.
• Verify eligibility and benefits daily.
• Document appropriately within athenaNet.
• Maintain accurate messages.
