Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Patient Services Representative III for the Wake Forest Health Network in North Wilkesboro, NC. You will interview patients, pre-register for admissions, verify insurance, and coordinate referrals across multiple platforms.

You will collect deposits or arrange payments, screen for financial assistance, and ensure accurate chart processing and billing. Strong communication, teamwork, and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience in a fast-paced environment with high call or in-person volume.
• Experience in patient access, registration or revenue cycle is a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance verification and pre-certification processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients in-person or by phone to collect required information for hospital records and billing.
• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-certifications as needed.
• Process referrals and registrations across multiple platforms.
• Perform clerical duties, answer phones, and handle messages.
• Collect deposits or set up payment arrangements when required.
• Screen patients for Medicaid or financial assistance programs and provide referrals.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect sensitive information.
• Support team with escalated issues and cross-training.
