Vitruvian Health is seeking a full-time Registration Clerk in Cleveland, TN to register patients for emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services and verify insurance coverage. You will be the first point of contact, handling payments and directing patients to the appropriate departments with professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (college preferred), and experience in a hospital setting with customer service.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED preferred; one year of college preferred.
• One year of hospital setting with public contact preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.

Mansioni

• Gathers accurate demographic and financial information for inpatient/outpatient registration.
• Prepares patient IDs, wrist bands, folders, and forms.
• Collects admission deposits, copays and deductibles.
• Directs patients to the appropriate inpatient department.
• Distributes forms to ancillary departments.
• Monitors diagnostic tests for medical necessity per guidelines.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage/benefits and documents in AS400.
• Notifies Business Office of self-pay patients and insurance issues.
