Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with preferred college credits, and CHAA/CRCR certification is desired. De-escalation training and prior hospital registration experience are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) preferred.
• Must have de-escalation training completed by end of orientation (90 days).
• Experience in hospital or physician office registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients or their representatives to obtain complete demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing and collecting patient accounts.
• Screen for insurance pre-certification requirements.
• Verify patient identity and ensure privacy practices are properly recorded.
• Meet accuracy and detail standards to support the Revenue Cycle and daily registrations.
