Job summary

Singing River Pascagoula Hospital seeks a Registration Specialist to welcome patients and visitors, collect accurate demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing, and screen for insurance pre-certification requirements.

You’ll ensure privacy and accuracy, support the Revenue Cycle, and work closely with the Patient Access Services team. High school diploma required; CHAA/CRCR preferred; prior hospital registration experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• CHAA or CRCR certifications preferred.
• De-escalation training by orientation (90 days) required.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain demographic, financial, and insurance information for billing and collections.
• Screen for insurance pre-certification requirements.
• Identify patient, verify records, and ensure privacy and accuracy.
• Support Revenue Cycle by accurate registrations and related tasks.
