Job summary

AdventHealth in Denver, CO is seeking dedicated Guest Services staff for patient access. The role handles calls, patient check-in, and insurance verification across multiple clinics, ensuring smooth admissions and accurate billing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Health Services Administration or related field required; CHAA preferred.
• 1+ year of customer service in medical office with familiarity with medical terminology, coding, charge entry and payment collection.
• CHAA certification preferred; High School Grad or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately.
• Welcome patients, update demographics, verify insurance and billing information, and process forms.
• Register patients for services and facilitate timely discharge and reimbursement.
• Collect co-pays and/or outstanding balances at check-in.
• Maintain open communication with clinical partners to support patient experience.
• Provide patient education regarding test locations, portal use, and non-clinical follow-up actions.
• Other duties as assigned.
