Qualifications

• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in PC applications.
• Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.
• Basic math and accurate transcription.
• Proficient in English.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Able to learn registration software.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Registers all patient types and resolves patient concerns.
• Coordinate scheduling of tests and procedures with physician practices.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA laws.
• Greet visitors and act as patient advocate.
• Maintain welcoming Heart Center waiting areas.
• Facilitate communication between visitors and healthcare staff.
• Escort patients, family members and visitors.
• Oversee daily Heart Center registration operations.
• Secure signatures for treatments and insurance benefits.
• Collaborate with nursing and ancillary departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
