The role involves registering patients for services, ensuring accuracy, supporting discharge, and maximizing reimbursement with a focus on clear financial assessments and collaboration with clinical teams.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in health services administration or related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in customer service in medical office or similar.
• Prior collections experience preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, direct calls appropriately.
• Welcome patients; update, verify, and enter demographics, insurance, and billing information and process forms into systems.
• Register patients for services; ensure accuracy, facilitate timely discharge, maximize reimbursement.
• Ensure all financial assessments, eligibility, and benefits memos are clear, updated, and thorough to support post-care financial needs.
• Maintain a working relationship with clinical partners to ensure open communication between clinical, ancillary, and patient access departments.
