Responsibilities

• Create the initial electronic health record foundation for patient care.
• Register patients and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Discuss and collect co-pays and responsibilities at registration.
• Explain financial responsibilities and discuss options with patients.
• Refer patients to Financial Advocates as needed.
• Ensure HIPAA, EMTALA and other regulations are followed.
• Coordinate scheduling, cancellations, recalls, and instructions for tests.
• Provide welcoming, professional service and assist with transportation or interpreter needs.
• Monitor electronic health record work queues and follow departmental processes.
