Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage patient registrations, verify demographics and insurance details, and coordinate admissions. You will ensure accurate data capture, proper room placement, and timely HDX reporting with a professional approach.

The role requires knowledge of medical terminology, strong communication, and the ability to handle sensitive financial information while maintaining efficiency and care standards.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication required.
• Interpersonal skills with staff, physicians and patients.
• Ability to discuss financial matters with patients or representatives.
• Solid problem solving and process efficiency skills.
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and billing procedures.
• Organized with proficiency in office procedures.
• Type 35–40 words per minute and basic keyboard skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify accurate demographic and financial information.
• Complete registrations and ensure correct insurance coding.
• Handle status transfers and HDX insurance reports.
• Ensure notification, authorizations, verification of benefits and tracking numbers.
• Maintain professional demeanor with patients, physicians and staff.
• Assist with room placement and related patient access tasks.
