Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage accurate patient registrations, verify insurance details, and coordinate room placements. You will correct insurance descriptions and ensure all necessary notifications and authorizations are obtained, while maintaining professional interactions with patients, families, and clinicians.

Qualifications

• One-year hospital admitting or medical business office experience with computer use preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• CPI Certification within the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate demographic and financial information during registrations.
• Correct insurance coding and descriptions using system tools.
• Ensure correct room placement for patients.
• Run and accept HDX reports on applicable insurances.
• Obtain notifications, authorizations, verification of benefits, and tracking numbers.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, the public and hospital staff.
• Maintain professional demeanor and interpersonal relations at all times.
• Assist with status transfers and related registration tasks.
