San Dimas Community Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Account Registrar to collect patient demographics, verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and enter data accurately. You will work across Admitting, PBX, and front desk teams to ensure smooth patient access.

The role requires strong communication, medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic hospital environment. Temporary status with a flexible shift is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a hospital admissions or patient access role preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsabilités

• Interview patients or their representatives to collect demographics.
• Secure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Collaborate with the Admitting department, PBX and reception areas.
• Input and retrieve data using a computer and hospital systems.
• Communicate with patients using age-appropriate approaches and maintain terminology proficiency.
