Job summary

Park DuValle Community Health Center is seeking a Registration Clerk to be the first point of contact for patients, delivering a welcoming and accurate registration experience while handling insurance verification, scheduling, and payments.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, experience in a medical office, strong data-entry skills, and a patient-centered approach. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office is preferred to support efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare admin coursework a plus.
• Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and assist with registration and check-in.
• Collect, verify, and update demographic and insurance information.
• Post patient payments to accounts and manage billing questions.
• Enter patient data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Verify insurance eligibility and explain coverage requirements.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to support care.
• Address patient inquiries and maintain a clean reception area.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
