Qualifications

• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable).
• Knowledge of medical insurance requirements for payment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographic, billing, and insurance information and enter into registration and billing systems.
• Complete pre-certification and authorizations as needed.
• Prepare consent forms and obtain signatures and electronic consent to treat.
• Collect deposits and payments, issue receipts, and document transactions.
• Prepare patient armbands for identification.
• Balance daily receipts and follow up on system flags.
• Initiate screenings and obtain information for coverage; complete paperwork.
• Perform medical necessity checks and Advanced Beneficiary Notices as needed.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel patients per workflows.
• Check order completeness and validate against scheduled services.
