Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum age of 17.
• One year of clerical/computer experience preferred.
• Medical terminology course completed during the first year of employment.
• CHAA certification and/or CMA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admit and register patients for services in a professional and courteous manner.
• Complete pre-registration, registration, and insurance verification with accurate data entry.
• Collect co-payments and deductibles; obtain and verify insurance information.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy and protection of patient information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and post payments in billing tools; maintain daily cash balancing.
• Provide patient assistance, answer questions, and coordinate with physicians and departments.
• Maintain accurate records and support bed control, order management, and team leadership functions.
