Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Registration Specialist to handle check-in, preregistration, registration, preadmission, and admission activities. You will collect demographic data, verify insurance information, obtain signatures, and support billing and patient communications to ensure compliant, timely reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of experience in business, billing, or healthcare scheduling/registration/admissions preferred.
• Proficient computer use and professional communication.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and registration of patients with complete demographic information.
• Obtain insurance information, verify eligibility, collect co-pays, and process payments as needed.
• Execute preregistration, preadmission, and admissions paperwork and scanning into medical records.
• Answer phones, fax, scan, and support scheduling and referrals as directed by the manager.
• Maintain system work queues and ensure a smooth, timely patient flow for reimbursement.
