This role supports timely reporting and smooth patient flow within a trusted regional system. Strong keyboarding, data entry, and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of hospital or medical office experience.
• Medical terminology course completed within the first year.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• CHAA certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients by collecting and entering demographic and insurance information.
• Create and manage patient accounts, including admissions and transfers.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays and payments.
• Balance cash drawer and ensure accurate registrations.
• Coordinate with departments to maintain up-to-date patient information.
