Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Registrar for AZ General Hospital Laveen to expertly handle patient registration, insurance verification, and related financial processes. The role requires meticulous attention to data accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to financial regulations within a hospital setting.

You will manage all payer information, complete necessary forms, and document communications in our Cerner EMR system, ensuring fast, accurate registration and excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a clerical setting.
• Typing speed 30 wpm and strong written/interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Registers/pre-registers patient in a timely manner with minimal waiting.
• Obtains accurate and complete patient information for registration.
• Completes medical record requests within department guidelines.
• Notes payer-related information, patient issues, physician office communications, and account communications in the system.
• Ensures all required forms for registration and payer-related processes are completed.
• Provides patient handouts and explanations (Patient Rights, Advanced Directives, Financial Assistance).
