Job summary

Dignity Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Registrar to perform essential clerical work supporting our caregivers by handling patient registration and data entry. You will verify insurance, discuss financial assistance options, and manage point‑of‑service collections with strict confidentiality.

You will document payer details, ensure correct forms are completed, and maintain accurate patient data within Cerner EMR in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Previous clerical experience required.
• Typing speed of 30 wpm.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Registers/pre-registers patient in a timely manner, evidenced by minimal wait times.
• Obtains accurate and complete patient information for registration.
• Completes medical record requests within department guidelines.
• Documents all payer-related information, patient issues, physician communications, and account-related notes in the system.
• Ensures correct forms are filled out and signed for each registration, payer forms, COA, and Medicare letters.
• Distributes and explains patient handouts (Patient Rights, Advance Directives, Financial Assistance, etc.).
