Job summary

Fisher-Titus Medical Center is hiring a Registration Representative to provide patient registration and front-line customer service in a busy hospital setting. You will verify insurance, handle data entry, assist with inquiries, and support patient flow with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, collecting payments, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and coordinating registrations across departments while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service, administrative, and/or data entry experience required.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Knowledge of database software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients in a professional, compassionate, and timely manner.
• Field and direct incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and initiate triage notifications as needed.
• Coordinate and record today's expected arrival queue and manage registrations for various departments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits and collect POS payments per policy.
• Enter and update patient records, maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.
• Demonstrate professionalism and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
