Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a part-time patient registration specialist to support front-desk operations, preregistration, and insurance verification. You will serve as the welcoming first point of contact for patients and ensure accurate data entry and efficient service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferrred experience in EPIC and insurance systems, plus strong computer and communication skills to meet patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in patient admitting, registration or insurance eligibility preferred.
• EPIC training/experience preferred.
• Insurance payor systems experience preferred.
• ICD-10 terminology experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person and in writing with patients and staff.
• Willingness to instruct others and train peers.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Register new patients and update registration and insurance information.
• Assist with patient reception, face-to-face check-in, preregistration and inquiries.
• Advocate for caller needs to ensure a positive experience.
• Provide welcoming front-desk service and maintain CRM interactions.
